THE IMPACT OF LOGISTICS PERFORMANCE ON THE SALES LEVEL An Empirical Study in Retail Sector

The aim of this research is to assess the impact of logistics performance on retail sector. This research was conducted in Palu in Central Sulawesi Province. There are several indicators involve in this study, such as, customer service, operation metric, and logistics cost. This research is categorized as explanatory research and multiple regression method was used to analyze the hypotheses. Simultaneously, this research found that logistics performance has significant contribution to sales level. However, customer service has not had positive contribution to sales level compare to operation metric and logistics cost. In addition, logistics cost has big impact on the sales level of retail groceries. The result of this research can be used by academicians and professionals who intent to deal with logistics in retail sector. This research also identifies that logistics performance need further study in different region and sector with the aim to improve the understanding of dimension

Geothermal Energy Development in Indonesia: Progress, Challenges and Prospect

One of environmental friendly renewable energies with huge potential in Indonesia is geothermal. Indonesia has the largest geothermal potential in the world, reaching up to 40% of world reserves or about 27,000 MW to 29,000 MW. However the development of geothermal currently is only about 4.2% (1,226 MW) of the existing reserves. The government of Indonesia has issued both fiscal and non-fiscal incentives to encourage geothermal development including establishing Fast Track Program II in 2010 to procure 17,918 MW of which 28% of them are geothermal. But apparently the amount of electricity that can be supplied from geothermal is only about 2.7% of total installed generations in Indonesia. This paper presents the progress of geothermal development in Indonesia and the role of the government including the policy, regulatory framework, and government incentives. It also identifies the challenges of the geothermal development, as well as its prospects in the future. GAMBARAN TINGKAT PENGETAHUAN IBU TENTANG DIARE PADA BALITA DI RW 05 BLIMBING LAMONGAN

Penyakit diare sampai saat ini masih menjadi endemis dan masih sering menimbulkan kejadian luar biasa (KLB) di masyarakat dan merupakan penyebab kematian nomor empat pada semua jenis umur dalam kelompok penyakit menular. Data awal yang diperoleh pada tanggal 2 Februari 2016 dari hasil wawancara yang dilakukan terhadap 7 ibu yang memiliki balita didapatkan 4 yang pernah menderita diare, dari 4 yang menderita diare didapatkan 3 ibu kurang mengerti tentang diare. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui gambaran tingkat pengetahuan tentang diare di RW 05 Blimbing Lamongan. Desain penelitian deskriptif, populasi seluruh ibu yang memiliki balita di RW 05 sebesar 34 orang. Besar sampel 34 responden dengan tehnik total sampling. Variable penelitian tingkat pengetahuan ibu yang memiliki balita. Instrument penelitian menggunakan kuisioner, data dianalisis secara deskriptif dan disajikan dalam bentuk tabel distribusi frekwensi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan dari 34 responden sebagian besar (58,82%) memiliki tingkat pengetahuan kurang, hampir setengahnya (35,29%) memiliki tingkat pengetahuan cukup dan sebagian kecil (5,58%) memiliki tingkat pengetahuan baik tentang diare pada balita. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah sebagian besar ibu yang memiliki balita tingkat pengetahuannya kurang tentang diare. Diharapkan ibu-ibu memanfaatkan media untuk mencari informasi tentang diare dan tenaga kesehatan memberikan penyuluhan tentang diare

Faktor-Faktor Yang Mempengaruhi Penyaluran Kredit Bank Umum Pada Usaha Kecil Menengah di Jawa Timur

Faktor-Faktor Yang Mempengaruhi Penyaluran Kredit Bank Umum Pada Usaha Kecil Menengah di Jawa Timur Oleh : Hadi Hendra Setiawan Abstraksi Variabel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Jumlah Pengusaha Kecil (X1), Tingkat Inflasi (X2), Tingkat Suku Bunga Kredit (X3), Kurs Valuta Asing (X4), Dan Perkembangan Jumlah Kredit Yang Disalurkan (Y) sebagai variabel terikatnya. Data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan data sekunder yaitu data time series pada tahun 1993 sampai dengan 2008, data tersebut kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik analisis regresi linier berganda. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwasanya adalah Jumlah Pengusaha Kecil (X1), Tingkat Inflasi (X2), Tingkat Suku Bunga Kredit (X3), Kurs Valuta Asing (X4) secara bersama-sama berpengaruh terhadap Perkembangan Jumlah Kredit yang Disalurkan (Y). Ditunjukkan dengan Fhitung = 23,791> Ftabel = 3,36 yang berarti bahwa secara keseluruhan faktor-faktor variabel bebas berpengaruh secara simultan dan nyata terhadap jumlah kredit yang disalurkan. Sedangkan berdasarkan hasil pengujian secara parsil, variabel Jumlah Pengusaha Kecil (X1) dan Tingkat Suku Bunga Kredit (X3) berpengaruh secara nyata positif dan nyata negatif terhadap perkembangan Jumla Kredit yang Disalurkan (Y), hal ini dapat ditunjukan pada uji t, dimana nilai thitung > ttabel. Sedangkan hasil pengujian parsial, variabel Tingkat Inflasi (X2) dan Kurs Valuta Asing (X4) tidak berpengaruh secara nyata positif dan nyata negatif terhadap perkembangan Jumla Kredit yang Disalurkan (Y), hal ini dapat ditunjukan pada uji t dimana nilai thitung < ttabel. Seguridad marina: estudio de caso sobre el cumplimiento del equipo de seguridad para la seguridad del buque

This study aimed to identify the fulfillment of safety equipment and its effect towards ship safety. This study was conducted at some harbors in Indonesia such as Soekarno Hatta Harbor at Makassar, Tanjung Perak Harbor at Surabaya and Tanjung Priok harbor at Jakarta. The sampling technique was Purposive sampling. Data were collected by questioners with Likert model scale. The obtained data then was being analysed using descriptive statistic and inferential statistic consisted of regression analysis and correlation. The result showed that there were positive and significant effects between safety equipment fulfilment and sailor ship safety. The regression equation was. Moreover, safety equipment fulfilment had strong effects toward sailor ship safety with 0.753 coefficient correlation 55.3% contribution. Further, the other 44.7% was influenced by other variables.Este estudo teve como objetivo identificar o cumprimento de equipamentos de segurança e seus efeitos para a segurança do navio. O estudo foi realizado em alguns portos da Indonésia, como Soekarno Hatta Harbour em Makassar, Tanjung Perak Harbour em Surabaya e Tanjung Priok porto em Jacarta. A técnica de amostragem foi amostragem intencional. Os dados foram coletados e tabulados utilizando-se a escala do modelo Likert. Os dados obtidos foram então analisados por estatística descritiva e estatística inferencial composta por análise de regressão e correlação. O resultado mostrou que houve efeitos positivos e significativos entre o cumprimento dos equipamentos de segurança e a segurança dos navios de marinheiro. A equação de regressão foi Y'= 2.421 + 0.753X. Além disso, o cumprimento dos equipamentos de segurança teve fortes efeitos em relação à segurança dos navios de marinheiro, com 0.753 correlação de coeficiente de 55.3% de contribuição. Além disso, os outros 44.7% foram influenciados por outras variáveis.Este estudio tuvo como objetivo identificar el cumplimiento de los equipos de seguridad y su efecto hacia la seguridad del barco. Este estudio se realizó en algunos puertos de Indonesia, como el puerto de Soekarno Hatta en Makassar, el puerto de Tanjung Perak en Surabaya y el puerto de Tanjung Priok en Yakarta. La técnica de muestreo fue el muestreo intencional. Los datos fueron recolectados por los interrogadores con la escala del modelo de Likert. Los datos obtenidos se analizaron mediante estadística descriptiva y la estadística inferencial consistió en análisis de regresión y correlación. El resultado mostró que hubo efectos positivos y significativos entre el cumplimiento del equipo de seguridad y la seguridad del buque marinero. La ecuación de regresión fue Y ^ '= 2,421 + 0,753X. Además, el cumplimiento del equipo de seguridad tuvo fuertes efectos en la seguridad de los buques marinos con una correlación de 0.753 coeficientes con una contribución del 55.3%. Además, el otro 44.7% fue influenciado por otras variables

The Use of Skimming and Scanning Techniques in Reading Comprehension for Toefl (An Experimental Research at UIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh)

The present research was conducted to investigate the influence of skimming and scanning techniques in improving students’ reading comprehension for TOEFL, especially to build the students’ critical thinking in learning reading comprehension. Hence, this research was led to investigate the effect of skimming and scanning techniques in students’ reading comprehension for TOEFL. This research was conducted to all the second year students of English Department at UIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh in the academic year of 2017/2018. The total number of population was 214 students and there were 32 students chosen as the sample of this research which was taken purposively. To fulfill the purpose of the research, the researcher took experimental research involved one class to be given treatment. The data were obtained through pre-test, post-test, and questionnaire. The results of this research indicated that there was a statistically significant difference between the score of the pre-test and the post-test. The score of the post-test got higher than the pre-test. Furthermore, the result of the questionnaire showed that the majority of the students gave positive responses toward skimming and scanning techniques in reading comprehension in TOEFL. Based on the results, it can be concluded that skimming and scanning techniques generate meaningful progress in students’ reading comprehension for TOEFL and these techniques are appropriate to be applied

Analisa Pengaruh Variasi Holding Time Dan Variasi Kadar Garam Media Pendingin Pada Perlakuan Panas Baja Aisi 1045 Terhadap Struktur Mikro Dan Sifat Mekanik Pada Logam

Pembentukan struktur martensit pada baja karbon dapat meningkatkan sifat mekanik suatu bahan salah satunya yaitu kekerasanya, dimana material baja karbon tersebut dilakukan perlakuan panas dengan dipanaskan pada temperatur austenit dan didinginkan dengan cepat. Laju pendinginan dan kadar karbon akan mempengaruhi struktur mikro yang terbentuk seperti martensit, ferit dan perlit.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui karakteristik sifat mekanis seperti ketangguhan baja dan kekerasan baja pada baja AISI 1045 yang telah diberi proses heat treatment dan dilakukan proses quenching menggunakan media pendingin air dengan variasi hoding time 25 meni, 30 menit, 35 menit dan variasi media pendingin kadar garam 500 gram, 625 gram, 700 gram. Kemudian dilakukan pengujian struktur mikro dan pengujian sifat mekanik pada logam untuk mengetahui struktur mikro, tingkat kekerasan, tingkat kekuatan, tingkat elastisitas dari baja AISI 1045. Hasil dari pengujian kekerasan menunjukan harga kekerasan terkeran pada spesimen holding time 35 menit dan pendinginan 700 gram adalah 60, HRC dan struktur mikronya terdiri dari pearlite dan martensite.Kata kunci : baja aisi 1045, proses quenching, kadar garam, holding time

Sistem Perakaran Bidara Laut (Strychnos lucida R. Br.) untuk Pengendalian Tanah Longsor

One of potential Non Timber Forest Products (NTFPs) in West Nusa Tenggara and Bali is Strychnos lucida R.Br. which is used for medicinal purposes. The species is also potential to use in land rehabilitation of dry land where it offers an additional benefit of landslide control. Part of the plant which has important role in landslide control is root system. Therefore this study aimed to investigate the Strychnos lucida root system in landslide control. The study was held in Bali Barat National Park. Root characteristics observed in the study were the penetration position in the soil, root architecture, and Index of Roots Anchoring (IRA) and Index of Roots Binding (IRB). The result showed that Strychnos lucida root was able to penetrate into deep soil layer and had R-tipe root architecture which can increase shear resistance of soil. Value of IRA and IRB indicated the species had a more vertical roots in every growth stage and a high enough horizontal roots. Based on its root characteristics, Strychnos lucida was able to decrease landslide risk, especially shallow and surface landslide

Indonesia is a country that has a wealth of diverse cultures spread from Sabang to Merauke. Even though the government has included a lesson about Indonesian culture in terms of some subjects such as Art and Culture, but there are still many people including some students who do not know the forms and names of the tribes, traditional houses, traditional clothing, folk songs, traditional foods, local weapons, and musical instruments regions in Indonesia. Therefore, a learning application is created that utilizes mobile learning technology. Through the use of mobile learning, user can access learning content without any borders so that it can be accessed at any time so that it can be accessed at any time with interesting illustration. Indonesia National Culture Application is made useful to help users in learning the introduction of Indonesian culture that provides the knowledge with illustrations in the form of images, audio, text and video. This application also can be functioned to learn, answer quiz, to view a gallery of images and video and to do puzzle games. The achieved result is an application that can provide knowledge to the users so they can know the culture in Indonesia through the illustrations provided well
